Power and intensity of the light

Since all light sources treated in this paper relies on electricity to produce light, each source will aveao electrical power measured in watts and approximate optical power measured in watts all, as a silicon detector will be charged.
You can use the approximate power and efficiency of light emitted known geometry to calculate the amount of light emitted, sent in the direction of the light detector and collected it.
Scientific unit for measuring power is the watt. As the intensity of light sources can be described as light power, the watt is the best unit of measurement to define the intensity of light.
However, not to be confused with power and energy. Energy is power multiplied by time. As a light source remains functional longer, the more transmit power. Most light detectors are energy independent. They convert light into electrical power.
Almost in the same way as a light source converts electrical power into light power. It specified that this conversion is independent of time. This is a very important concept is the basis for many circuits used in communications.
